The
University of British Columbia (UBC), situated 20 minutes south west of

golfers. The University Golf Course right on the edge on campus is the most convenient course. For a change of scenery, the public golf courses of Fraserview and McCleery are located just 8km south east of the campus.
› The Museum of Anthropology is one of the best places in Canada to view
aboriginal art.
› For quiet walks there’s UBC Botanical Garden, Nitobe Japanese Memorial Garden or Pacific Spirit Regional Park which wraps around the university grounds. The park features more than 70km
hiking trails through forest and along the shoreline. Popular beaches along the Pacific Regional Park coastline include Spanish Banks and the clothing-optional
Wreck Beach.
