English Bay Beach in Vancouver BC

English bay beach in Vancouver BC

English Bay Beach is Vancouver’s most popular beach hangout. Within walking distance of downtown Vancouver and linked to Stanley Park by the Seawall, it’s the perfect hangout for anyone living or staying in the West End or downtown core.

Inline skaters, bikers and joggers on the Seawall mean it's busy whatever the weather.

You can rent kayaks from the beach in the summer, launch yourself off the English Bay slide or just sit and relax and enjoy the views south of Kitsilano Beach and Pacific Spirit Regional Park. For a scenic walk, follow the Seawall towards Burrard Bridge and you’ll hit the quieter Sunset Beach.

When it’s time to leave, head into the Denman Street in the West End for one of the most varied selections of cafés and restaurants in Vancouver.

Hours: Open all year round.

Directions & map:

The beach is situated in the north-west of the Vancouver peninsula between Stanley Park and the corner of Denman and Davie Street in the West End.
